Wedding Jewelry
Want to get married? Getting married? Not sure what type of Wedding or Bridal Jewelry you will need?
First and foremost, the most significant and sometimes mandatory in some cultures is a wedding band. Some cultures and religions require the wedding band to be made of a specific Karat gold, such as 18kt. Others require that the band be completely round and plain with no markings or engraving on the interior or on the exterior of the ring. This is usually to convey deep emotions of eternal love, eternal happiness, eternal commitment, and eternal togetherness. The wedding band, is a complete circle with no break and no end or beginning, which means that it just goes on and on – it is eternal.
For most, wedding bands styles are chosen according to the individuals’ personal preference of color, width and finish.
For those who have engagement rings , most of us, it represents care and affection between the giver and the recipient and is considered to be more of a tradition. It appears to make the woman feel some kind of bind to her mate before the wedding occurs. It gives a mutual warm feeling of “she’s mine” and “I’m his” to both parties involved.
It is very common for the future bride and groom to have their wedding bands matched in terms of color, design and shape. Again, that feeling of “togetherness” arises. What tends to happen is that the bride finds a wedding band to fit and match her engagement ring and the groom ends up getting something according to what she chooses. It usually is slightly wider than hers but the design will remain the same. I have attached a sample Bridal ring with a matching ladies band that is 4mm wide, along with a matching mens band which is 6mm wide.
I guess this is the beginning of the woman being the leader in the marriage
